Fresh Earth Gardens LLC, is a local producer of fresh high quality vegetables, herbs and fruit for the Portland and Clark County areas. Our focus is to deliver quality, flavor and nutritional value in all of our products. We offer our produce delivered direct to restaurants, families via a CSA subscription program, and farmers markets.
We are one of the few local producers of high-quality microgreen and microherbs, which are available for custom order year round. We also produce high quality vegetables of many different shapes and colors year round and seasonally.
Our growing methods, are traditional in nature yet combine the best of modern methods from such Organic farming pioneers such as JR Rodale, Masanabu Fukuoka, John Jeavons, and Eliot Coleman. We use organically certified seed when possible, including many heirloom and international varieties, we are GMO free, and specifically select gene lines for pest resistance, productivity and specialty flavors. We use no sprays (No insecticides, herbicides, or pesticides in the field) or any chemicals during post-harvest.
All of our produce is hand planted, hand weeded, hand harvested, and cared for using traditional agrarian practices with a modern twist. Our irrigation uses well water and in some cases innovative irrigation techniques to provide a top quality product. Our soil fertility is maintained by the use of green manures, composted animal manures, composted yard and vegetable matter, high quality organic additives, rock powders, and specialty mineral applications.
